William M. Schultz

William “Bill” M. Schultz, 79, of La Crosse, Wis., passed away Monday October 28, 2013.

He was born in La Crosse, Wis. on October 6, 1934, to William T. and Juanita Schultz. William married Kathleen “Kathy” Morin on January 12, 1966. William enjoyed fishing, duck hunting, playing cards, watching the Minnesota Vikings and spending time with his family. William retired from the Rail Road after 44 years of service to The Milwaukee road, CP rail and retiring from the Soo Line.

He is survived by his children, Ron (Lori) Schultz of Evansville, Wis., Al (Janet) Schultz of La Crosse, Todd (Heather) Schultz of Holmen, Sue (Randy) Martin of Viola,  and Rick (Ruth) Schultz of La Crosse; grandchildren, Brad, Brett, Alex, Anne, Ashley, Kelly, Brianna, Amanda and Travis; and four great-grandchildren, four sisters Carol (Evan) Burkhardt of La Crosse, Wis., Janice Schultz of La Crescent, Minn., Maureen (Dick) Hansen of Winona, Minn., and Nona (Steve) Marson of Holmen, Wis.

He was preceded in death by his wife Kathleen “Kathy”, February 6, 2012.

A private family service is scheduled for Friday, November 1, 2013, at Blaschke & Schneider Funeral Home with private family Entombment to be held in the Garden Mausoleum in Oak Grove Cemetery, La Crosse, Wis. There will be a celebration of life on Friday, for family and friends from 12:00 (noon) until 2:00 PM on Friday, at Le Chateau, 410 Cass St., La Crosse, Wis.

The family would like to thank Julie Butler for her friendship and care for Bill and Kathy throughout the years.
