She was born July 8, 1941 to Milton and Ella (Van Riper) Johnson. They raised their family together in Tamarack, Wisconsin, and Vivien made many friends while working at various business over the years, including J.C. Penney, Kresge’s lunch counter, several cafes in Arcadia, and the Galesville Bakery. Vivien was a very outgoing and caring person. Sitting in a waiting room was never considered a waste of time; for her, it was simply another opportunity to meet new people. She passed on many of her hobbies to her children, including reading, crocheting, baking, making lefse, and the thrill of finding a good bargain.

A Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday Feb. 19, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Most Sacred Heart Parish in Pine Creek, Wisconsin, Rev. Sebastian Kolodziejczyk officiating.Visitation will be held at the church on Tuesday Feb. 18, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass.
