Theolyne Comeau

Theolyne Comeau, age 100, of La Crosse passed away Saturday Sept. 22, 2012 at her home,  Bethany St. Joseph Care Center.  She was born in La Crosse Sept. 26, 1911 to Theodore and Louise Comeau.  She grew up on the North Side and worked at Northern Engraving until it closed.  She returned to school at Coleman Technical College and received her degree as a LPN. Theolyne worked as a nurse at St. Francis Hospital for many years until her retirement. Theolyne loved reading, gardening and listening to music.  She was a long time member of St. John’s Catholic Church and later St. James the Less Catholic Church..

She is survived by her nephews: Dr. Roger L. (Emily) Comeau of Appleton, WI;  Glen B. (Jeanette) Comeau of West Salem;  Alan F. Comeau of La Crosse; 10 nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, Theolyne was preceded in death by her sister Bernardine and her brother Darrell.

A Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday Sept. 26, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at St. James the Less Catholic Church, 1032 Caledonia St., Rev. Robert Schaller will officiate with interment to be in the Oak Grove Cemetery, La Crosse.

Family and friends may call at the church on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services.  The family would like to thank the staff of Bethany St. Joseph for all the wonderful activities she enjoyed and the care she received for many years.
