RoseMary Atchison

 

RoseMary Atchison, age 83, formally of La Crescent, MN passed away Thursday, September 8, 2016. Born to Peter and Amelia (Kihm) Fransen on August 15, 1933 in La Crosse, WI.

She attended Holy Trinity Catholic School and Aquinas High School, graduating from Viterbo College in 1973. She married William Atchison and they had six children, Peggy (Gary) Wiese of La Crescent, MN; Sue (John) Mills of White Bear Lake, MN; Mary Atchison of La Crosse, WI; Alan (fiancé Michele Murphy), and Joanne (Skip Heiberg) Luedtke, all of Apache Junction AZ; and Kenneth (Diane) Atchison of La Crosse, WI. Surviving Grandma are 22 grandchildren and 41 great grandchildren.

She was known as ‘Mrs. A.’ to many other children during her many years of teaching at St. Pius X in La Crosse.

RoseMary was preceded in death by her husband William in 2003, and her parents.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 AM, Wednesday September 14, 2016 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 1333 13^th Street S., La Crosse, WI. Rev. Rick Roberts will officiate with burial to be held at Woodlawn Cemetery, La Crosse, WI. A visitation will be held from 5 to 8:00 PM, Tuesday, September 13, 2016, at Blaschke & Schneider Funeral Home, 1501 West Ave. South, La Crosse, WI. Family and friends may also call from 9:30 AM until the time of Mass at Church on Wednesday.

The family extends its gratitude to the staffs at Brookdale, Bethany St. Joseph, and especially Lakeview Healthcare Centers for the wonderful care provided to our mother during this difficult journey.
