Roger A. Waldera, 66, of Onalaska, Wis., died Tuesday, September 2, 2014, in His home surrounded by his family. He was born in Arcadia, Wis., on January 28, 1948 to Alfred “Fritz” and Loraine (Fonfara) Waldera. He married Carol J. Mueller on May. 20, 1972 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Arcadia, Wis.  He graduated from Logan High School Class of 1966. Roger served our country in the US Army. Roger served our country in the United States Army National Guard. He worked at Art Mart and Metallics until his retirement.

He is survived by his wife; Carol of Onalaska, Wis., sons; Dale and Keith Waldera both of Onalaska, Wis.,
sister; Ann (Roy) Pasquarette of Minneapolis, Minn., two Brothers; Kenneth of Rochester, Minn., and Thomas of La Crosse, Wis. aunts, Marian Marshall of Winona, Minn., and Amy Fonfara of Kenosha, Wis. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends and special friends Angie and Patti.

He was preceded in death by his parents Alfred “Fritz” and Loraine Waldera, his sister; Bonnie Waldera, and his brother; Wayne “Wally” Waldera. 

A funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 AM, Tuesday Sept. 9, 2014, in St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 1031 Main St. Onalaska, Wis. Msgr. Steven Kachel will officiate, with a burial with military rites by the Roy L. Vingers American Legion Post 52, to be held in Gate of Heaven Cemetery in La Crosse, Wis. Friends and family may call from 9:30 AM until the time of Mass in St. Patrick’s Catholic Church on Tuesday.

The Blaschke & Schneider Funeral Home-Nelson Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
