Richard Joseph Mulholland

Richard J. 'Rick' Mulholland, 55, of La Crosse died unexpectedly at home on Monday October 31, 2022,

Rick was born in La Crosse, Wisconsin on April 17, 1967, to Darrel 'Dick' and Kathleen (Klimek) Mulholland. He graduated from Logan High School in 1985.

Rick was formerly employed at jobs over the years. He was previously employed by Maas Construction, Ship Shape Car Wash, owned and operated Eagle Eye Auto Detail, and worked as an auto mechanic at Ed's Service Center. Rick was knowledgeable about auto and motorcycle repair, he assisted many people with their auto repair needs. He served as the Vice President of the La Crosse Eagles Club Aerie 1254. 

Rick was a compassionate person with a heart of gold.  His smile and laughter would brighten everyone's days. Rick had a close bond and maintained friendships with many childhood friends. He valued those friends and cared about his friends greatly. He enjoyed camping up north, ATVing, motorcycles and was an antique hobbyist. He loved spending time with his family and was a very selfless person that would help anyone who needed it. His heart was as big as his attitude. He loved his dog, Buddy. 

Rick's greatest joy in life was being a dad to his son, Austin. He loved Austin very much. He took pride in raising Austin. Teaching, guiding, watching Austin grow up. Always taking every opportunity to make memories with his son. He was always there to listen and provide words of encouragement and strength through the best times and challenging times. He shared words of calm, sometimes without saying a word, always conveying that love and peace was the message to be heard. 

He is survived by his son, Austin R. Mulholland and Austin's mother, Amy Jo Schmidt of La Crosse; mother, Kathleen 'Kathy' Mulholland of La Crosse; his siblings, Robert 'Bob' Mulholland (Barbara Hanson); Ronald 'Beav'(Jess) Mulholland Randall (Michelle) Mulholland one sister Amy Steinhoff (Brad Mashak). He is further survived by special friend, Laura, several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Darrel Mulholland and his uncle and close friend James 'Jimmy' Klimek. 

Visitation will be held Wednesday November 9, 2022, from 11:00am to 1:30pm. A prayer service will be held at 1:30pm on Wednesday November 9, 2022, in Blaschke Schneider Funeral Home, 1501 West Ave South, La Crosse, Wis. Rev, Rick Roberts will officiate with Burial to take place in Oak Grove Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
