KELLER, Raymond B.

Raymond B. Keller, 83, of La Crosse, Wis., died Friday, April 5, 2013, in Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center, La Crosse, Wis. He was born in Wonewoc, Wis., on January 28, 1930, to Leo and Florence (Bauer) Keller. He married Mary Volk on May 3, 1952. Ray served in the US Army during the Korean War and was stationed at Ft. Hood Texas. Ray served on the La Crosse Common Council as an alderman of the 2nd ward for several years. Ray owned and operated Quad City Sealers in La Crosse for many years. Although, he sold his business to retire, he never really did and continued to work in sales. Ray was proud that he received the “Golden Glove” Boxing Award at a young age. He also loved camping, hunting, working in his yard and cooking and will be remembered by many for his delicious food.

He is survived by his 5 children; Daniel, Kenneth, Peggy Benrud, Sheryl Keller, and James (Nancy) Keller,  one daughter-in-law; Lynn Keller, his grandchildren, and his great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife Mary, two sons Mark and Randy.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, April 12, 2013, in Blaschke & Schneider Funeral Home, 1501 West Ave. So., La Crosse, Wis. Rev. Robert Schaller will officiate with burial with Military rites by French Island Post 417 American Legion to be held in Woodlawn Cemetery, La Crosse, Wis. Family and friends may call on Thursday from 4 to 7:00 PM with a Prayer Service to be held at 6:45 PM at the Blaschke & Schneider Funeral Home, 1501 West Ave. So., La Crosse, Wis. family and friends may also call from 9:00 AM until the time of services in the funeral home on Friday.

The family would like to thank the Benedictine Living Community of La Crosse, and Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center where our father received his care.
