Peggy J. Schilling

Peggy Jean Schilling, 51, of La Crosse, Wis., died Saturday, Aug. 19, 2017, in Mayo Health System, La Crosse, Wis. She was born in Sparta, Wis., on April 21, 1966, to Bernard and Gertrude (Foellmi) Suhr.

Peggy graduated from Sparta High School, Class of 1984, and went on to graduate from UW La Crosse. She enjoyed spending time with her son Garret going Mountain Biking, Hiking, Skiing and long walks. She was employed at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center, Franciscan Skemp Healthcare, Trane Co., and was recently employed at Organic Valley, receiving her Six Sigma Black Belt. Peggy had a two-year Battle with Colon Cancer.

She is survived by her 14-year-old son Garrett of La Crosse, Wis., her mother Gertrude Suhr of Sparta, Wis., two sisters; Patricia (Roger) Saddleback of Douglasville, Ga., and Pamela (Randy) Campbell of Houston, Tex. And one brother; Daniel (Tina) Suhr of Sussex, Wis.

She was preceded in death by her father Bernard Suhr, and her brother David Suhr.

A celebration of Life will be held at 3:00 PM, Friday, Aug. 25, 2017, at Blaschke & Schneider Funeral Home, 1501 West Ave. So., La Crosse, Wis. Deacon Richard Sage will officiate with private burial to be held. Family and friends may visit from 4 to 7:00 PM on Thursday at the funeral Home. Family and friends may also visit from 1:00 PM until the time of services on Friday.
