Griffel, Patricia Ann

Patricia Ann Griffel Passed away peacefully at Hillview Health Care Center on May 1, 2015. She was born May 12, 1937 at St. Mary’s Hospital, Minneapolis, MN to Frank H. (Mike) Griffel and Margaret (Steuernagel) Griffel. Patricia loved the outdoors and before her illness enjoyed riding her bicycle everywhere swimming at Pettibone Beach and hiking. She was an avid reader and a fan and critic of Movies from the 30’s on.

Pat attended Nursing School in Eau Claire, WI and the School of Medical Technology in Rockford, Ill. She had also worked at Gundersen Lutheran Hospital.

She is survived by her Brother Terry (Rhea) Griffel, cousins and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents. In accordance with her wishes, a private family interment will be at Oak Grove Cemetery.

Thank you Hillview for the wonderful care that Patricia received as a resident. Hillview was her home for 17 years. She was always up-beat, happy and enjoyed her caretakers!

Memorials may be given in Pat’s memory to Hillview Health Care or to English Lutheran Church.
