Myron W. Peterson Jr., 84, of La Crosse, Wis., died Tuesday, February 28, 2017, at Bethany St. Joseph Care Center. He was born in La Crosse, Wis., on July 1, 1932, to Myron W. and Malentina (Mc Carthy) Peterson.

He graduated from Aquinas High School, Class of 1950. Myron was so proud to be a member of the 1950 Aquinas Blu Gold State Championship Basketball Team. He served our country in the US Air Force. Myron was a Member of the Roy L. Vinger’s American Legion Post 52 for over 50 years. He was a huge Green Bay Packer, and Wisconsin Badger Fan!

He is survived by one brother: Gerald (Karen) Peterson of La Crosse, Wis. and other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 AM. Tuesday, March 7, 2017, in the Marian Chapel of St. Joseph the Workman Cathedral, 510 Main St., La Crosse, Wis. Msgr. Charles Stoetzel will officiate with burial with Military Rites by the Roy L. Vingers American Legion Post 52, in the Catholic Cemetery, La Crosse, Wis. Family and friends may call from 9:30 AM until the time of Mass in the Cathedral on Tuesday.
