Marlene (Mickey) M. Ebner, 64, of Holmen, WI passed away peacefully on August 27, 2012, at Golden Living Center in La Crescent, MN after a short battle with melanoma cancer.
She was born on July 11, 1948 in Manitowoc, WI to Henry P. and Lillian B. Felber. She was educated in Manitowoc, WI and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1966. At age 50 she was so proud to receive her 2-year Associate degree in Marketing from Moraine Park Technical School in Fond du Lac, WI.
On August 6, 1977, she married William A. Ebner Jr. at St. Paul Catholic church in Manitowoc, WI.
Mickey, as she was better known by everyone, loved life in general. Mickey worked several jobs throughout her life. She started a summer recreation program, and worked as a secretary for several different churches. She worked in sales, selling religious cards, and ended her working career in customer service for Broan Manufacturing in Hartford, WI. In 2008 Mickey and her husband Bill were lucky enough to retire and enjoy life.Â
Mickey’s number one love was her family, husband Bill and sons Jeff and Todd along with both of their families. Mickey touched a lot of lives, had a lot of friends and never had a negative thing to say about anyone.Â
Mickey also loved band concerts (especially Hall and Oates), gardening, home interior decorating, shopping in general, and her travels around the United States, Germany, Scandinavia and Russia. Mickey enjoyed the outdoors, long walks and she especially enjoyed fishing with her husband.
Mickey is survived by her husband of 35 years, Bill Ebner, of Holmen, WI, son Jeff (Anna) Ebner of Horicon, WI, son Todd (Krissy) Ebner of Mayville, WI, mother Lillian B. Felber and brother Lon Felber, both of Manitowoc, WI, nephew Joe Felber of Madison, WI, niece Amy Felber of Manitowoc, WI, and four grandsons, McLaine, Drake, Liam and Dashel.
She was preceded in death by her father, Henry P. Felber.
 A Funeral Mass will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church 515 Main St. North in Holmen, Rev. John Parr will officiate with entombment to be in the Catholic Cemetery Mausoleum, La Crosse. Family and friends may call at the church on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the services.
The family would like to extend special thanks to Mayo Clinic Health System-Franciscan Healthcare of La Crosse, especially Drs. Clayton, Minehan, Gill and the entire staff in the Cancer Center, and also the staff at the Golden Living Center in La Crescent, MN.
