Mark Stuart Dunn, 63, of La Crosse, Wis., died of natural causes Thursday June 4, 2020 at his home. He was born in La Crosse, WI on April 12, 1957, to Robert W. and Marion L. Kohlhaus Dunn.

Mark graduated from Central High School. Mark had a very strong work ethic, working for the cable company in La Crosse for many years before making a major change when he decided to take up a career with FedEx in Minneapolis. He devoted the remaining portion of his working years to FedEx-even starting his own route. He had a deep passion for most sports and was himself an accomplished softball player and bowler, truly, any sport he chose, he exceled at. He had a great passion for old cars and motorcycles and had the pleasure of owning many during his lifetime. He loved the outdoors and fishing, particularly at the family cottage, Paradise Point. He loved animals, particularly cats, and in the end cared for many strays providing them homes and lives they may have never had. He had a vast knowledge of music and shared this with anyone he could. He learned to play the saxophone in honor of his father. For those who knew him, Mark was a gifted storyteller, he always had phenomenal stories.

He is survived by two children, Mandy M. Dunn and Nick R. Wiltse both of Minneapolis, brother Matt T. of La Crosse, sisters Michele R. of La Crosse and Holly A. of Monroe, NC.

He was preceded in death by his parents Robert W. and Marion L. Kohlhaus Dunn, brothers Michael G., Mitchell J., John P., Gregory R. and sister Mary H.

A Private Family Service will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, June 13, 2020 at Blaschke Schneider Funeral Home, 1501 West Ave So, La Crosse. A public service for friends will follow from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Due to COVID19, this will be arranged in accordance with local, state and CDC guidelines and masks are encouraged. Please contact the funeral home for details.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The National Wildlife Federation or the ASPCA (The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.)
