Lorraine Fitzpatrick

Lorraine M. Fitzpatrick, age 97, of La Crosse, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 16, 2024, at Mulder Health Care Facility in West Salem. She was born December 20, 1926, in the town of Greenfield, Wisconsin, the daughter of George and Elizabeth Strittmater.

Lorraine married Robert Fitzpatrick on July 2, 1953, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in La Crosse. She enjoyed baking, sewing, gardening, going to church, playing cards, taking care of her pets, preparing and hosting family holiday gatherings and was an avid Milwaukee Brewers fan. Lorraine's presence will always be felt in the hearts of those who knew her. Her determination, her love, and her wisdom will always be remembered.

Lorraine is survived by her children, Mary Davis and Ron (Jane) Fitzpatrick; two grandchildren, Michael Fitzpatrick and Robert Fitzpatrick; and countless nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert; one son, Michael George; her siblings, Leona Beyer, Erma Kendhammer, Marie Becker, Ervin Strittmater, George Strittmater, and Harold Strittmater; and her son-in-law, Rod Davis. Upon her arrival to Heaven, Lorraine was greeted by so many loved ones who were her guardian angels throughout her life. In her death, she has now taken on yet another role: the role of guardian angel for so many of us here on earth. Her memory and spirit will always be with us in our hearts.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, August 21, 2024, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 1333 13th Street S, La Crosse, WI. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM with a Prayer Service at 6:30 PM at Blaschke-Schneider Funeral Home, 1501 West Avenue, La Crosse. Family and friends may also call for a visitation at the church one hour prior to the Mass. Entombment will take place at Mormon Coulee Cemetery following the Mass.

In lieu of flowers and plants, memorials are preferred.
