Lori Ann Halderson, 60, of Savannah Georgia, passed away from natural causes on July 10, 2023. Lori was born on January 17, 1963 to Norman and Judith (Fleming) Halderson in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
After Lori graduated from Central High School in 1981, she went to college at both the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse and the University of Denver-Colorado and graduated in 1998 with a computer science degree. She worked in the restaurant industry, as a software engineer, and at an art studio.
Lori was an independent, creative, and warm-hearted woman who resided in Wisconsin, New Jersey, Florida, Colorado, and Georgia. She was especially fond of Denver and the Rocky Mountain area. She enjoyed skiing, biking, and the outdoors and loved to cook and bake for others or go out to eat with her family.
Lori's greatest joy in life was her art, especially water colors. She had an eye for capturing the natural world on a canvas, and in Lori's words she painted "with emotion and passion and wasn't afraid to tackle difficult subjects." She took continuing education art classes to hone her skills, and most recently was interested in plein air painting where one immerses herself in nature while creating. Lori found comfort and peace with watercolor, and her artwork is treasured by family and adorns their walls.
Lori is survived by her parents Norman and Judith Halderson, Terry (Sharon) Halderson, Mark (Jeanne) Halderson, her nieces Andrea, Yvonne, Natalie and her nephew Steven. She is with our Lord and will always be in our hearts when we see the aspen tree. She thought it was the most beautiful of all the forest trees when the wind blew through its leaves.
A Catholic graveside service will be held on September 15, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the Gay's Mills Cemetery in Gays Mills, WI (16745 State Highway 131) followed by a celebration of life at Country Gardens Lounge (100 Sunbeam Blvd E., Soldiers Grove) at noon.
