MORAN, Lois (Sue) E.

Sue E. Moran, 74, of La Crosse, WI, passed away at her home surrounded by family, on February 3, 2017 after a 10-year battle with Alzheimer’s.

Sue was born in La Crosse, WI., on April 9, 1942, to Andrew and Gretchen Nickerson. She attended Logan High School before she met the love of her life and best friend, Richard Moran. They married on June 30, 1962.

She loved her Pepsi-Cola, bowling, her cocker spaniel Maddie, and most of all,  her family. She always made people laugh with her infectious laugh and silly faces.

During  her 54 year marriage to Richard, they were blessed with five children; son,Todd Moran, daughter, Wendy Felten and husband Lyle, son Scott Moran and wife Melissa, son Greg Moran and wife Corri, son Douglas Moran and wife Beth. Sue lived for her 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her sister Greta Lake.

Sue was preceded in death by her parents, her brother and sister-in-law, Roger (Rose) Nickerson, and her sister,  Kay Mathison.

The family of Sue would like to extend sincere thanks to all the staff at Mayo Hospice and Evelyn Christianson for their ongoing support and continued personal care.

Memorials may be made in her honor to the Mayo Clinic Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center.

A family and friends visitation beginning at 10:00 AM followed by a Service at 12:00 PM, on Saturday, February 11, 2017, at Blaschke & Schneider Funeral Home, 1501 West Ave. South, La Crosse, WI.  Richard’s brother, Reverend Charles Moran will officiate .
