DUNNUM, La Mont J.

La Mont J. Dunnum, 76, of La Crosse, Wis., died Friday, Sept. 26, 2014, in Mayo Health System, La Crosse, Wis. He was born in Coon Valley, Wis., on March 12, 1938, to Blaine and Ovidia (Rundhaugen) Dunnum. He married Mary Lou Seebauer and they later divorced. He then married Nancee Kraut-Craig on March 27, 1976, in Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, La Crosse, Wis.

La Mont enjoyed going up north to their summer place in Chetek. He loved fishing and their place up north provided a great outlet for trying to catch the big one! He learned to make Lefse from his parents and made it up until he couldn’t. He also enjoyed watching football and was a Packer and Badger fan. La Mont surrounded himself with great friends; he loved family gatherings where he could tell some Norwegian jokes, laugh and have fun. He was a loving husband.

He is survived by his wife Nancee of La Crosse, and his step children; Keith Craig of Tacoma, Wash., Lori (David) Hanson of Mc Henry, Ill., and Janet Craig of La Crosse, Wis., his three daughters; Rachel (Mike) Fried of Middleton, Wis., Dawn (Dan) Johnson of St. Josephs Ridge, Wis., and Robin Dunnum of La Crosse, Wis.; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, two brothers; Donald Dunnum of Coon Valley, Wis., and Brian (Diane) Dunnum of Wausau, Wis., and other relatives, family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
