Rejoice in the Lord, He makes NO mistakes!!!
On March 8, 2017, our brother Ken at the age of 75 was taken from this earthly home and passed into his eternal home in heaven! Those who were there to welcome him HOME were his parents, George and Lorraine, brothers Richard and Gary and recently a sister-in-law Anita who preceded him in death.
Ken was born on November 24, 1941 to George and Lorraine (Liebel) Lawrence in La Crosse, WI. He attended Onalaska High School.
His greatest joys in life were his family, fishing, hunting, art and
drawing. He loved singing and always had a song in his heart and wanted you to sing along with him.
He loved being out in nature and enjoying the beauty of God’s creation.
God gave Ken a very kind heart and a loving spirit; he was caring toward others and always giving or sharing what he had with them. He always had a smile on his face and that sweet little grin.
Ken is survived by his brothers and sisters: William (Jean), Nancy (Robert) Frisch, Maryellen Heath, George, Rosalie (Mark) Pedretti, Joseph (Elaine), Patrick (Rhonda), Thomas (Cindy), Robert (Julie), sister-in-law Carolyn, and their families.
Not only was Ken blessed with a BIG family of 8 brothers and 3 sisters, there are 29 nieces and nephews: Michelle, David, Eric, Nicole, Scott, Mike, Tami, Bryan, Tony, Kathy, Joe, Lori, Amy, Lisa, Joe, Becky, Mike, Ryan, Jonathan, Daniel, Molly, Katie, Sarah, Jessica, Adam, Savannah, Rachel, Steve, and Tyler. 32 great nieces and nephews: Alexis, Lauren, Rylan, Ayla, Carter, Chloe, Hailey, Hannah, Duane, Alexander, Benjamin, Isaac, Amanda, Zachary, Jazmyn, Gabrielle, Braxton, Christopher, James, Ethan, Hannah, Christian, Reese, Bree, Zeke, Cole, Grace Anita, Bradley, Annabelle, Theodore, Sylvia, Caleb, and Ava. 1 great-great niece Jewel. Also special to Ken are Aunts Lucille, Marilyn and Jan and Uncles Henry and Harry.
There is No greater LOVE than FAMILY!!!
The family would like to thank many who have been a part of Ken’s life and especially the staff at Lakeview Health Center/Ravenwood in West Salem, where he has spent many years in their care. We appreciate your love and kindness to him.
We would also like to thank the doctors and staff at Mayo Health System La Crosse, for the care and compassion which was shown to our brother and family during the difficult time of his passing.
A celebration of Ken’s life will be held Saturday, April 1, 2017, officiated by Pastor Mark Clements at Living Word Christian Church, 2015 Ward Ave., La Crosse. Visitation will be 9:00am to 11:00am with services beginning at 11:00am with worship, song and praise to honor and remember the good times with Ken and to thank God for Ken’s life.
Family, friends, and guests are welcome to join our family for a fellowship luncheon, which will be held at the Moose Lodge, (1932 Ward Ave. located across the street from the church) following the services, beginning at noon with lunch served at 1:00 pm.
There will be no graveside service the day of the funeral. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a memorial contribution to the Mental Health Coalition of the Greater La Crosse Area.
We thank God for the time he allowed Ken to be a part of our lives.
Ken’s journey on this earth is over, but his new life has just begun. Now heaven is his HOME!
He will be greatly missed by many but especially those who were blessed to have called him BROTHER!
We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. 2 Cor. 5:8
