Kenisha Marie McGuire

Kenisha Marie McGuire, nicknamed “Neesh,” “Nesha,” or “Kenny” of La Crosse, WI, passed away on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at the age of 34. Kenisha was born on May 2, 1990, and was the cherished daughter of Louis and Vicky McGuire.

Kenisha achieved great things from a young age and went on to be the Tribune’s 2008 Softball Player of the Year, first-team All-State selection by the Wisconsin Fastpitch Softball Coaches Association, and Mississippi Valley Conference Player of the Year.

After Kenisha graduated from Central High School in 2008, she went on to study and play softball at Viterbo University from 2009 to 2013. Kenisha graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Organizational Communication and went on to do great work as a Resources Support Technician/Communications Specialist, later working as an Administrative Assistant.

Kenisha’s journey throughout her life was marked by her fierce loyalty to her family, her strong work ethic, and her drive for improvement. She had a creative eye for fashion, and food and enjoyed making jewelry. Kenisha loved spending time with her cat Shadow, cooking, being outdoors, gardening, and going on bike rides.

Kenisha was predeceased by her maternal grandparents Donald and Donna Stingl, and paternal grandparents, Robert and Eddie Mae Bradford, Uncle Allen Nelson, and Aunt Linda Stingl.

As she left this world, Kenisha is survived by her parents Louis McGuire (Amy) and Vicky McGuire, and her nine siblings: Amy, Karissa (Jon), Louis Jr (Natasha), Siesha, Quincy, Justyce, Ayden, Emily, and Charlie. Kenisha was an Aunt to 12 children: Mackenzie, Avery, Myles, Alexis, Tyrin, Ahkeem, Cruz, Willow, Blaze, Paris, Daraji, and Reighn.

Even at the end, she found a way to smile and laugh. Kenisha will be remembered for her beautiful eyes, wild hair, and her fervor for life and all its opportunities. We love you Kenisha.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Boot Hill Pub, 1501 St. Andrew Street, in La Crosse, WI on Saturday, June 1, 2024, from 3 PM to 8 PM. Kenisha had a love for tulips, so feel free to bring some and honor her life in the beautiful way that she deserves.
