Kathleen "Kathy" Marie Stegen, née McLain, wife of Neuman (Bill) Stegen Jr., beloved mother to Aric and Chrystal, passed away peacefully at her home on December 2nd 2024. Kathleen was born in Milwaukee Wisconsin in 1960 to Inez and William McLain. She attended Logan High School after which she became manager of the Plaid Pantry before becoming a CNA spending the final 30 years of her working career caring for the elderly.
Kathy was a devoted wife to her husband Bill who she loved deeply for 49 beautiful and compassionate years. Kathy was a devoted mother to her son and daughter Aric and Chrystal, her pride and joy. Her children gave her 7 beloved grandchildren whom she adored, Aidan Aquino, Amber and Hayden Stegen, Samantha, Malcolm, Sophia, and Mariah Johnson. Kathy and Bill enjoyed numerous trips to Jamaica where they wed in 2006. Their backyard was her personal paradise where she and Bill spent much of their time listening to music and just loving life. Kath enjoyed traveling, going to concerts, playing cards and dice with family and friends and loved the slots. Kath was a consummate event organizer whose fulfillment came from the satisfaction of her guests. Her holiday and Packers parties were second to none. She was an amazing cook known for several signature dishes that her family and friends waited in anticipation for. She had the warm and nurturing spirit that was the embodiment of the perfect mother, grandmother, wife and friend. Her absence puts a hole in our lives that will never be filled.
