SCHNEIDER, Kathleen T.

Kathy Schneider, 61, of La Crosse, WI passed away peacefully December 28, 2015, in her home with family. Kathy was born in Burlington, WI on October 11, 1954, later moving to La Crosse where she started her teaching career of 35 years with the La Crosse School District. She was named “Teacher of the Year” at Central High School for the 2009-2010 school year. Kathy was an active member in her church – St. Joseph the Workman Cathedral. Kathy was also an avid supporter of the arts and enjoyed attending any performances she could, both locally and professionally. Her favorite pastime was spending time with family and friends.

She is survived by her daughter, Camie Schneider, of La Crosse; brothers, Jim Schneider and Ken Schneider, of Burlington, WI, and sister, Ruth (Bruce) Frederick, of Harvard, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents, Don & Edith Schneider, and brother, Richard Schneider.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, December 31, 2015 at St. Joseph the Workman Cathedral, 530 Main Street, La Crosse. Wis . Msgr Charles Stoetzel will officiate with burial to be held at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 9:00 AM until the time of Mass at Church on Thursday.
