Judith 'Judy' M. Onsgard

Judith M. Onsgard, 65, of La Crosse, died on Sunday, September 3, 2023, at Hillview Health Care Center. She was born on January 18, 1958, to Robert and Dorothy (Pahnke) Walters in La Crosse. She married Jeff Onsgard, and they later divorced. She recently had a special partner, Jeff Ward.

Judy worked as an Insurance Claims Specialist at Gundersen Medical Center for 45 years, loved her job and was very good at it. Judy was presented with an award in May of this year for her breadth of knowledge and willingness to help wherever needed at work. Her favorite hobby was watching movies. Her biggest passion in life was being a mother and grandmother. She was a very positive and optimistic person, who always had a smile on her face. She was a dog mom who had three dogs and absolutely loved all dogs. She graduated from Logan High School and was very proud to be a Northsider.

She is survived by her daughter Angela Onsgard, her partner Jeff ward, grandchild Blake Onsgard, Jeff’s daughter Nicole Ward, four brothers and sisters Toni, Larry, Donnie, and Bobby, and her dogs Chloe, Millie, and Bella.

She was preceded in death by her parents, son Jason Onsgard, and daughter Jamie Onsgard.

A Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 PM, on Saturday, October 7th, 2023, at Blaschke & Schneider Funeral Home, 1501 West Ave. South, La Crosse. Pastor Phillip Waselik will officiate. Family and friends may visit from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at noon at the Funeral Home on Saturday.
