 Winter, James Oscar
 James Oscar Winter, 70, of Ukiah Calif., died Tuesday, June 19, 2012, of
 heart failure, in Ukiah, Calf. He was born March 20, 1942, in La Crosse
 Wis., to Oscar and Merceline (Divine) Winter. After graduating fromÂ
Aquinas
 High School in 1960, he went on and graduated from Marquette University in
 1964. While serving in the Vietnam War, he earned four medals, theÂ
National
 Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, and
 the Purple Heart.
 James is survived by his sister; Mary (Donald) Marcou, of La Crosse, Wis.,
 his niece; Donna (Gary) Stafford, and nephew Daniel (Kristi) Marcou.
 He was preceded in death by his parents Oscar and Merceline (Divine)Â
Winter,
 and his sister Joyce (Winter) Telles.
 The family has had a private burial at the Sacramento National Cemetery in
 Dixon Calif.
 The Blaschke & Schneider Funeral Homes of La Crosse assisted the familyÂ
with
 local arrangements.
