Jacqueline R. Olson

Jacqueline R. Olson, 71, of La Crosse, Wis., died Sunday, March 11, 2012, in her home surrounded by family. She was born in La Crosse, on May 22, 1940, to Paul and Rose (Hughes) Carpenter. She married Miles Olson on October 17, 1959, in Our Saviors Lutheran Church, La Crosse.

Jackie was loved as a wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She enjoyed fishing, going for car rides, and family get-togethers. In her later years Jackie spent her time knitting, chatting with friends on-line, and going out to eat every Friday evening. She will be remembered for her kind heart, her love for birds, cats and flowers, and her homemade cookies.

She is survived by her husband; Miles Olson of La Crosse, two daughters; Wendy (Mike) Wooden of Mindoro, and Lisa (Chris) Mc Donald of Sparta, two sons; Brian (Nancy) Olson of La Crosse, and Eric (Betty) Olson of La Crosse, nine grandchildren; William, Kyle, Nicholas, Jessica, Travis, and Lucas (Shelby) Olson, Brittany (Matthew) Henderson, Taylor Ludwig and Miles Mc Donald.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister Jean Sjuggerud and three brothers, Gerald, James and Paul (Junior) Carpenter.

Visitation for friends and family will be from 11:30 AM to the time of the service. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, March 14, 2012, in Blaschke & Schneider Funeral Home, 1501 West Ave., So., La Crosse, Wis. Rev. Mark Solyst will officiate with burial to be held in Oak Grove Cemetery, La Crosse, Wis.
