Helen J. Cole

Helen J. Cole, 87, of La Crosse, passed away on Tuesday, November 30, 2021, in Eagle Crest South, La Crosse. She was born in La Crosse on October 10, 1934, to Mynard and Irene (Paul) Stavlo. She married Eugen M. Cole on May 14th, 1966, in La Crosse.

She worked for La Crosse Telephone Co., for 14 years and First Federal Savings and Loan for 20 years where she retired. After retirement she served as a volunteer at Gundersen. In her free time, Helen enjoyed bowling, golfing, and spending time with her family.

Helen is survived by her son David (Ginger) Cole, of La Crosse, WI.; step-son Richard (Barbara) Cole, of Frisco, CO.; 4 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by 2 sisters, Rediece Semb and Elizabeth Ostreng, and 3 brothers William Stavlo, John Stavlo and Robert Stavlo.

She was preceded in death by her husband Eugene on November 9, 1977, and her brothers and sisters.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, December 6, 2021, in Blaschke & Schneider Funeral Home, 1501 West Ave. South. Pastor Larry Hoppe will officiate with burial to take place in Mormon Coulee Memorial Park Cemetery, La Crosse. Family and friends may visit from 10:00 AM until the time of services at the Funeral Home on Monday.
