Greg R. Kabat

Greg R. Kabat, age 66, of La Crosse, died on Tuesday Sep. 9, 2014 at his home. He was born in La Crosse to Jim and Betty (Wecker) Kabat. He married Vicky Sherry in 1968 at The Roncalli Newman Center in La Crosse.

Greg had many hobbies such as hunting, restoring cars, and going to car shows and swap meets. He was a very handy man and was able to fix just about everything in sight. He worked at the La Crosse Cooler Company and then for the City of La Crosse for over 25 years.

He is survived by his wife Vicky (Sherry) Kabat, one daughter; Kathy Kabat, one son; Robert (Dionne) Kabat, and three Grand-Children; Scotty, Liddy and Karen. He is also survived by his brother David (Mari Jo) Kabat, one Brother-in-law; Mike (Cathy) Sherry, his step-mother Beth Kabat, and several cousins, Nieces and Nephews, and Aunts.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Steve.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday Sep. 16, 2014 at Blaschke and Schneider Funeral Homes, 1501 West Ave. So., La Crosse, with Rev. Brian Konopa to officiate. Family and friends may call from 10:00 AM until the time of services on Tuesday at the funeral home.
