Gloria D. Lindahl, age 89, of La Crosse, was a beloved great-great-grandmother, mother, wife, sister, child caregiver, quilter, seamstress, crafter, and card player. She passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, April 21, 2025, surrounded by her family.
Born on July 4, 1935, Gloria grew up during the latter part of the Great Depression and was never one to remain idle. In addition to raising her two sons she provided childcare in her home, as her heart always went out to young children. Gloria had a passion for sewing and quilting, and she enjoyed exploring new recipes. A lifelong learner, she also cherished reading.
Gloria is survived by her two sons, Mark (Joan) Lindahl and John (Mary) Lindahl; six grandchildren, namely James (Alaina) Lindahl, Robert Lindahl, Emily Willix, Jennifer (Alex) Christianson, Jason (Laura) Lindahl and Joel (Heidi) Lindahl: as well as eleven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren
She is preceded in death by her husband, Adolph Lindahl, with whom she shared of 69 years of marriage.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:30 AM on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church, 1602 Park Avenue, La Crosse. Pastor Robert Wassermann will officiate, with burial to take place in Mormon Coulee Memorial Park Cemetery. Family and friends may visit from 10:30 AM until the time of the service at church Tuesday.
