Gerald ‘Jerry’ G. Rose, 85, of Blair, Wis., died on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, in Gundersen Medical Center. He was born in La Crosse on June 7, 1939, to Clyde and Emma (Marohn) Rose. He married Sharon Bogenrief on July 18, 1964.

Jerry graduated from Blair High School in 1957 and was proudly Valedictorian of his class. Following high school, he enrolled in the Air Force where he was an airplane mechanic, working on engines for B-52 bomber planes. After serving his time in the Air Force, he was a truck driver and proud member of the Teamster local #200. He and Sharon raised their three children in Oak Creek, Wis., and later moved back to Blair. He was a member of the American Legion and life-long member of the NRA. He enjoyed horseback riding, motorcycles, gardening, tinkering with small engines, square dancing, hunting and fishing, and anything to do outdoors. He was an avid dog lover, and had an uncanny ability to be able to find 4 leaf clovers.

He is survived by his children Patrick (Angel) Rose, Timothy Rose, and Andrea (Larry) Rose-Waalkens; grandchildren, Alaina (Gage Gumbert) Maronn, and his sister Sharon Denker. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, wife Sharon, siblings Arlen, Loren, Lorraine (Ron) Maki and Glen, and his brother-in-law Stan Denker.

Burial will take place at 12:30 pm on Friday, April 4, 2025, in Woodlawn Cemetery, La Crosse, and A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
