Gary D. Stetzer, 73, of Trempealeau, died Friday August 7, 2015, at Mayo Clinic Health System In La Crosse. Born to Goodwin and Arlene Stetzer on June 9, 1942, he married Anita Curry on September 5, 1970. Despite being stricken with Polio at age 13, Gary graduated from Healy Memorial High School and went on to receive his Bachelor’s Degree in accounting from Luther College, in Decorah Iowa. He later received his Master’s Degree in Business from the University of Wisconsin, Eau Claire. He taught Accounting and Business at Western Wisconsin Technical Institute for 18 years, during which time he established his accounting practice. Stetzer Accounting Service celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2015.

Gary was predeceased by his parents and one brother-in-law, Duane Bothe.

He is survived by his wife, Anita (Curry) Stetzer, three sons, Gregory (Stacey) of La Crosse, Grant (Carla) of Trempealeau, and Geoffrey (Rebecca) of Trempealeau, as well as a sister, Maxine Bothe of Galesville. He is also survived by his grandchildren Brittni and Tracey Smith, Rubie, Blaze and Magnum Stetzer, and Ava Stetzer, along with several nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Mayo Health System for their wonderful care and also special appreciation to John and Cory Bork for their compassionate care and many kindnesses.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, August 11, 2015, at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church, 24531 6th St, Trempealeau, WI. Rev. Dana Jackson will officiate. Friends and Family may call from 6 to 8:30 PM Monday August 10, 2015 at Church, and from 10:00 AM until the time of service at Church on Tuesday. Burial will be held in Evergreen Cemetery, in Centerville.
