Evelyn (Evie) Torgerson

  She was born in La Crosse on December 3, 1923 to Jacob and Louise Chalsma.  She married Tilferd “Tip” Torgerson on July 28, 1943 in St. Luke’s United Methodist Church. 

Evelyn is survived by her children: John Torgerson of La Crosse, Kathy Hafner (fiancé Joel Serres of Brownsville, MN), Keri Torgerson of Milwaukee, 

Evelyn was blessed by a wonderful neighborhood that looked after her. her husband “Tip”, three brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services will be held Friday, May 3, 2013, at 11:00 A.M. at Asbury United Methodist Church, 1818 Redfield Street, La Crosse.   Friends and family may call at the church from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services.  Memorials may be given to the Humane Society.
