Diane M. Schulz

Diane Marie (Hutzenbuehler) Schulz, age 64, of La Crosse, passed away at the home of her niece on Sunday, May 14, 2017, with family by her side.   She was born in La Crosse on April 29, 1953, to Bob and Betty (Seeley) Hutzenbuehler.  Diane married Jeff Peterson and had two children Angie and Chris; they later divorced. Diane married Steve Schulz and they also later divorced.

Diane owned an antique store called ‘Next to New’ for many years and then worked for a local family business. She loved cooking and hosting holidays, and she always made herself available to family members and friends which made her well known for being a wonderful woman.

She is survived by her mother, Betty Hutzenbuehler; her son, Christopher Peterson;  her very cherished grandson, Christopher Jr.; one sister, Dawn (Steven) Dull; one brother, David (Laural) Hutzenbuehler; nieces and nephews, Jon, Josh, Jeremy, Danielle, Melissa, Jonah, Shawna, Mark, Dana, Shawn, Cory, and Katie.

Diane was preceded in death by her father Bob; her daughter, Angela Dawn; two brothers, Dennis and Danny Hutzenbuehler; grandparents, Signe and Chuck Seeley and Verna and Alfred Hutzenbuehler.

The family would like to thank all the incredibly kind and caring people at Gundersen and Bethany Riverside for the wonderful care she received.

A Memorial Service will be held at 5:30 PM, on Thursday, May 18, 2017, at Blaschke & Schneider Funeral Home, 1501 West Ave. South, La Crosse, Wis. Rev Richard Pamperin will officiate.  Family and friends may visit from 5:00 until the time of service, and until 8:00 PM following services on Thursday at the Funeral Home.
