KRAMER, Daniel L.
Daniel L. Kramer, 75, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 18, 2018 at his home. He was born on April 23, 1943 in La Crosse, son of Erwin and Evelyn (Partridge) Kramer.
He served in the Navy. On Dec. 29, 1964, he married Margaret L. ‘Meg’ Irvin in St. Joseph the Workman Cathedral. Dan was a police officer for 10 years, then Dan and Meg had a foster home for over 30 years together. Meg was a nurse’s aide, then a nurse at Lakeview Health Care in West Salem.
Dan is survived by his wife Margaret ‘Meg’ (Irvin) Kramer of La Crosse, two sons Dennis (Kelly) Kramer of DeForest, Wis., and Dustin (Angie) Kramer of La Crosse. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his son David J. Kramer, his parents Erwin and Evelyn Kramer, his in-laws Clifford and Edna Irwin, and his 2 sisters Donna Budnik and Diane Kramer.
A celebration of Daniels life will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 27, 2018 in Blaschke & Schneider Funeral Home, 1501 West Ave. South, La Crosse, Wis. Visitation will start at 10:00 AM and go until the time of services at the funeral home on Saturday. Burial will be held in Neshonoc Cemetery, in West Salem, Wis., with Military honors performed by the West Salem American Legion, Berg-Hemker-Olson Post 51.
