Carlton ‘Carl’ W. Gladden, 63, of Onalaska, died Wednesday December 31, 2014 at his home with family, after fighting a battle with leukemia. He was born in Victoria VA, on May 14, 1951 to Wesley Ottis Gladden and Ethel May Flowers. He married Ruth Brickson on August 19, 2000 at Pikes Peak State Park in McGregor Iowa.
Carl loved playing guitar since 1970 with the Triple Nickels Band, singing, and also running ‘Magic Voice Karaoke’ with his wife Ruth.
He is survived by his wife Ruth of Onalaska; 3 Step-Daughters Della (Eddie) Figueroa, Dawn Hart, and Desiree (Bill) Rickert; 4 Step-Sons Jonathan (Janet) Hart, Jim (Tanya) Hart, Joe (Mary) Whitbeck, and Jeffery McGuire. He is also survived by 18 Grandchildren, 3 Great-Grandchildren, and several Cousins and Aunts.
Carl was preceded in death by his Parents, several Aunts, Uncles, Brothers, and Sisters.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM Tuesday January 6, 2015 at St. James the Less Catholic Church, 1032 Caledonia St., La Crosse, WI. Rev Robert Schaller will officiate. Family and friends may call from 9:30 AM until the time of Mass on Tuesday at the Church. Burial will be held at a later date.
