STETZER, Betty L.

Betty L. (Kemp/Ghelfi) Stetzer, age 70, of La Crosse Wisconsin, passed away on Thursday, May 15, 2014 at Gundersen Hospital. Betty is a graduate of Logan High School`s Class of 1962. She married Ronald Stetzer of La Crosse in 1973, and together raised a family of 4 children. Betty`s interests include camping, fishing, shopping, movie watching and dining out. She enjoyed cooking, baking and spending time with her family. She especially enjoyed watching her grandchildren grow. She will certainly be remembered for her wit and humor, and her famous “fried chicken, fish, glorified rice and sputnik donuts”.

Betty is survived by her husband, Ron and children: Tina (Jerry) Neuman of Rock Springs/Baraboo, Tom (Marla) Jones of La Crosse, and Tami (Craig) Yehle of Holmen, Wisconsin. She had 9 grandchildren: Jessica, Seth, Dylan, Devon, Tiffany, Amanda, Jacob, Emily and Deana; and 8 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters: Sandy, Pat, Karen, Carol, Shirley, JoAnn, Terri Lynn and one brother Eugene “Dino”.

She was preceded by in death by her daughter, Theresa; brother, Robert; and her parents and her mother and father-in-law.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday May 19, 2014 at Christ is Lord Free Lutheran Church, 1269 County Road PH, Onalaska. Pastor Jonathan Unverzagt will officiate. Family and friends may call from 4:00 to 7:00 PM Sunday May 18, 2014, at Blaschke & Schneider Funeral Home, 1501 West Ave. So., La Crosse, WI, and from 10:00 AM until the time of services at Church on Monday.

The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the physicians and caretakers at the Legacy Wing of Gundersen Health Systems.
