Bernadine H. Solberg

Bernadine (Babe) H. Solberg, age 103, of La Crosse, passed away on Friday, June 3, 2016 at Bethany St. Joseph Care Center.  Bernadine was born on May 17, 1913, in La Crosse.  She was the daughter of Joseph Bruha and Anna Frisch.  She married Wesley Solberg on September 17, 1938.  She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Wesley, sisters Alice Havlicek and Florence Trier and brothers, Leo, Frank, Jim and Tony Bruha. She is survived by a son, Robert, and daughter, Nancy (Solberg) Butala, son-in-law, Mark Butala, wonderful nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. The family wishes to especially thank her devoted friends, Mary Jo Rathman and Carol Plante and also the employees at Bethany St. Joseph`s for their loving care and support.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday June 17^th at 10:30 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church 130 Losey Blvd. South, Rev. Peter Raj will officiate with interment in Oak Grove Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the church on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass. The Blaschke & Schneider Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.  Memorials are suggested to the Bethany St. Joseph Auxiliary in Bernadine`s honor.
