Adolph Lindahl, 95, of La Crosse, A Great, Great, Grandfather, Father, Husband, Farmer, Teacher, Artist, Author, Designer, Draftsman, A Landlord, A Boy Pioneer Leader, and Jack of all trades. Died peacefully at home surrounded by family on Thursday, November 21, 2024.
Born March of 1929 and raised through the depression, Adolph left his footprints in the memory of many in the La Crosse and Viroqua area. In his younger years he was active in FFA, County Fairs, and became a teacher. Eventually turning to drafting and design at Dairyland Power for 35 + years.
As an Amateur economist, he received considerable attention Of State Politicians
In his free time, he enjoyed art, in painting and sculpture. He also very much enjoyed the outdoors while being a leader in the Lutheran Pioneers
Adolph is survived by his wife Gloria Lindahl; two sons, Mark (Joan) Lindahl, and John (Mary) Lindahl; six grandchildren, James (Alainna) Lindahl, Robert Lindahl, Emily Willix, Jennifer (Alex) Christianson, Jason (Laura) Lindahl, and Joel (Heidi) Lindahl; eleven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his brother Selmer Lindahl and his sister Caroline Bakkestuen.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church, 1602 Park Avenue, La Crosse. Pastor Robert Wassermann will officiate, with burial to take place in Mormon Coulee Memorial Park Cemetery. Family and friends may visit from 10:00 AM until the time of the service on Wednesday.
